Discover the northern Okavango Delta, where the waters never sleep and animals roam untouched and in abundance. Situated perfectly with access to both a labyrinth of permanent year-round waterways as well as an expanse of dry land, the area is very well known for its consistent sightings of predators and is considered to among the best areas in the Okavango Delta. Not only do lions, cheetah and leopards frequent the exclusively private concession, but also the rare occasional sight of white rhino!

reopened in 2019 with a whole new setting and extensive rebuild, the luxury camp sits under a shade of tall trees and has a view overlooking the floodplains and nearby lagoon. With nine rooms, the camp also boasts two pool areas on each side of the camp. This allows for guests to spread out and enjoy more privacy between activities and relax in all the comfort that Kwara provides.

ACTIVITIES
Exploring the Okavango Delta
Since this luxury camp is located in a private concession, you have so much more freedom with activities and wildlife viewing opportunities. Off road driving is allowed and necessary when searching for the perfect sight. Night drives also take place and with spotlights to find the more nocturnal rarities, that hide throughout the day.
The traditional form of traversing the delta via mokoro is a must for any and completely changes how you see wildlife. Watch as elephants, lechwe, sitatunga and others who roam to the banks for a drink stop to stare as you quietly glide past. Cutting through the waters and exploring the channels silently so as to not disturb those animals you find along your way.

Kwara also provides the opportunity to go out on double decker boat for sunset cruises. Such a relaxed and amazing way to explore the areas is to sit above and see past the reeds ahead, watching as the sunset reflects gold through the reeds and clear waters. Keep in mind that Kwara is one of the few camps that due to it's perfect location, can offer water activities throughout the year!

Guided wildlife walks are also possible throughout the year and provide the chance to see nature on foot. An exciting and unique way to add to the overall experience and truly feel just how wild these lands are.
While fishing is prohibited during the breeding seasons (January/February), basic equipment is supplied and one can fish for up to ten months of the year here.
Accommodation
Décor pays homage to true African authenticity with each of the nine tents has a spacious private deck that overlooks the nearby lagoon, en-suite bathrooms with both an indoor and outdoor shower, as well as bath, with views that stretch out over the floodplain. Ceiling fans and mosquito nets provide a cool area to relax no matter what time of day. Comfortable super-king size beds (or two 3/4 twin beds) with nearby alternators for sleep apnea machines (if necessary) and USB charging stations for cameras and phones, provide everything that you could need while sleeping with the sounds of nature around you.
